A Dried Resinous Polypore envelops wild Raspberry canes in the winter, slowly wrapping around the sharp thorns and stems and solidifying in place. The polypore emerges from a rotting log nearby and stretches and expands outwards, surrounding the plant. (Ischnoderma resinosum - Rubus occidentalis)
Photographed in situ, without the use of artificial lighting or staging. Photoshop only used for resizing.
