A Stubborn Bastard by Juan Smith

The Planet Kaddara; a beautiful planet inhabited by a series of different intelligent civilizations.

Since "The Beginning", the civilizations of the planet grew and learned from each other, sharing the planet's abundant resources and gifts.

The planet reveled in peace for twelve millennia.

All turned to nothing during the Encounter.

Entire civilizations fell, divided and turned against each other. Those remaining devoured themselves into extinction under the influence of the cosmic visitor or fell victim to witness. The planet, consumed by darkness and strife, seemed bereft of chance and destiny.

After 50 millennia, all seemed lost. Hope, the last bastion, waned for many, but hope proved to be a stubborn bastard.
