A Self Portrait (2020)

And what am I to love if not the enigma?

// I started this portrait in December 2020 and finished it in August 2021. It took a lot of drafts, iterations and revisions to reach this final form. Even though it was finished in 2021, I still call it a 2020 work as the idea and vision of it was already there when I began working on it in late 2020, it only took this time to translate it into a worldly image that would approximately reflect the symbol in an appropriate manner.

I wouldn’t call it complete but neither am I, nor I think as any human, can I ever be and hence I deem this work finished in abandonment. ⚫ ⬜
