Earth 2234AD - With the planet starved of natural resources, and plagued with toxic dust storms from the remnants of nuclear war, humans are displaced en mass, forced to live aboard giant floating capital ships known as "ARKs".

Stationed above the noxious clouds, these enormous crafts roam the skies trading and bartering whatever goods they have with each other, as their forefathers did in the old world.
