A Future in the Past by Akkrin

Many fictional stories that made reference to the future of humankind and its technological advances in a certain way were accurate when compared to what is happening in the present. They wanted somehow to glimpse what the future would hold and how it would change everything for better or for worse. But those stories are already a future in the past. In this present, the new futuristic stories have to include how man has been able to deal with current problems such as excess population, consumerism, high crime rates, pollution and above all social inequality. Will the new stories be able to predict what will happen in the future without escaping from this reality? Will we be part of a future in the past again?
