This artwork can display 16,777,216 colors using only 3 layers.
It works by implementing the RGB Color Model, in which the red, green, and blue primary colors of light are added together in various ways. Each layer has multiple states from 0-255, which can be changed to produce any color within the 16,777,216 available colors.
