Siblings can be a troubling gift. Grellen was only 6 years old when his baby brother was born. The rivalry began as soon as the child exited the womb. By the time the baby himself was six years old he had discovered the vice of manipulation. He knew his older brother's weaknesses. He knew that his brother was doing his best to become a man. He also knew that the old temple off the North trade road was off limits. He prodded and challenged Grellen to explore that temple with father's sword for weeks. He never actually expected him to do it. When father got home that night, he had one less sword, and one less son.
