5 Pointz 2008

This digital photograph of the 5 Pointz Aerosol Art Center was shot in 2007 before the 2013 demolition of the site. The exterior was covered from top to bottom in murals and served as a marker for New York City's reich history in the visual elements of hip hop culture. Without warning, the exterior was washed and the site was demolished in 2013. This photograph is part of a series from the time when the building was a gathering space for some of the best urban street artists in the world.
