Another in the PX3 Paris award-winning series "Les Deux Villages", '32, Rue Craig' comprises photographic elements from my time living in Paris, and in the beautiful oasis of Wortley Village in Canada.
As with the other digitally constructed environments in this series, the viewer is presented with a structure that at first glance seems to beckon. On closer inspection, we see there is no way in, or it is at least challenging to enter, with no door handles, doorbells or signs of welcoming inhabitants. The viewer also has the option of mentally exploring the mysterious path around the back, into an undefined space.
These lightly animated versions tell a story of a consciousness, sometimes two, revisiting, searching, reminiscing, and potentially guarding the space... or at least the idealised memory of it.
