We've been in Hamburg for four months now, and so many impossible things have happened in that time. Things that seemed impossible before. I've been admitted to university, and will be able to study art and photography, among other things. I learned how to put paper documents in folders and sort them, carry them to different authorities to get the next documents. It's fascinating. I bought a bicycle. Got into an online residency as a dance artist and developed my art project about co-dependancy. Many friends have moved to Germany, and live in different cities and villages. Some come to Hamburg for the weekend. That day we met my old acquaintance Ofa. And we went for a walk in the park, telling each other our stories. We hadn't seen each other for years. Then she ran for her train. I was walking through the park with the kids and we stopped under the bridge. The reflection in the water seemed more real than reality itself, but I knew it was an illusion.
