Celebrated my 28th birthday today. I haven't been feeling as good as I used to lately, and I think that's a big part of growing up. The things I once enjoyed, the people I used to hug with love, the songs I used to sing with laughter—they just don’t feel the same anymore.
Even though I have people around me who love me dearly, I can’t shake the feeling that something is missing, and I don’t know what it is. There’s this emptiness I carry with me all the time. For a while, I’ve stopped wearing the masks I used to in my social life. I always tried to make others happy because it brought me happiness too. After all, the people we love should be happy, right? But do they think about you as much as you think about them?
Maybe the only way to find out is to carve your own path and rediscover what you love. With these thoughts and melancholic feelings, I’ve left another year behind.
