Kunti's firstborn from Sun God 'Surya', Karna is the deadliest Kurava warrior in the Great War. Karna is the archrival of his brother, Arjuna.
Kunti conceives Karna when she was a teenager, afraid of the chaos she will bring upon her kingdom, she had no choice but to abandon Karna in the river of Ganga. Karna was then adopted and raised by a humble charioteer, Adhirata.
Karna and Duryudhana are close friends as Duryudhana never cares about Karna's humble background and treats him as his equal. Karna's loyalty to Duryudhana is unmatched, even when Kunti reveals that he is indeed her son and that he is fated to die in the hand of Arjuna. Karna didn't falter and stands proud on the side of Kuravas leaving Kunti heartbroken.
Karna owns a number of boons and weapons, which all are taken away from him before the Great War. This handicap did not stop him from becoming one of the greatest warriors in Bharatayuddha. After defeating Bhima, Yudhistira, Nakula, and Sadewa, he fought Arjuna on the 17th day. Karna died smiling, on his fated end.
