This work is a development of my previous photograph, "Pasar Baru," responding to Muslim fashion or the style used by many women in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, especially in Indonesia. How to dress represents the identity and a way to be seen as a religious person. So people are competing to look appropriate with Islamic Sharia. However, the Muslim fashion business is growing and flourishing. This series represents a Muslim couple who wear the same fabric (Mega Mendung) for a special occasion. Mega Mendung is one of Indonesia's most popular batik patterns, originally from Cirebon, North Coast Java.
