I took this polaroid in Whitesands, New Mexico in March of 2019. At the start of the day it was about 80 degrees, and I immediately left my shoes at the entrance of the park and ventured deep into the abyss, away from the crowds, where I could find some beautiful untapped dunes to photograph. Little did I know that when the sun goes down, it drops reaal fast. The soft warm sand that accompanied me at the start of my walk began to feel like frozen snow beneath me. I was the last visitor to leave the park that day, just as the sky was getting pitch black I was able to hitch a ride out with one of the rangers. He started laughing when he saw I was shoeless - “a first in 30 years” he told me. At least I had a backpack full of film and polaroids to show for it !

For my first series here on Rarible I present to you the ‘Polaroid Collectible Cards’. I have selected some of my favorite Polaroids taken around the world and will only ever release 50 of them for this series. Out of these, 25 will be editions of 20, 15 will be editions of 10, and 10 will be single editions 1/1. Each Polaroid Card is carefully selected and tells its own story. This is the first drop - there will be a drop every Monday at 7pm EST releasing new Polaroid cards until all 50 have been released, at which point this series will be closed forever. Special unlockable content will be rewarded to those who collect multiple cards. At 3 cards you will receive an original signed Polaroid selected by me. At 5 cards you will receive a limited edition signed paper print of your choosing up to 24’’ x 29’’. At 10 cards you will receive a giant 38’’ x 46’’ aluminum 1/1 Polaroid print of your choosing, as long as it is still available.
