I took this photo in 2013 at Persepolis (Takht-e Jamshid) from one of the stone reliefs.
The image depicts the head of the Armenian delegation from Armenia during the Achaemenid Empire, holding a golden vase as an offering to Darius the Great. Every year, leaders of neighboring satrapies would gather at the Persian king's court during Nowruz to present their gifts. This relief symbolizes the historical friendship and bond between Iranians and Armenians, preserved on the walls of Persepolis. This artwork not only showcases artistic beauty but also stands as a testament to the rich culture and peaceful relations of that era.
