Raster API
Raster now has a public API. It is in private beta for now, so keys go out one at a time while we iterate on API design with testers.
We provide one GraphQL endpoint for the core of what Raster holds. Artists, artworks, tokens, ownership, media, listings and sales, in the same shape whichever chain the work lives on.
The API surface is deliberately small today and will become more comprehensive over time. We appreciate your help with prioritising which queries and fields to add next.

Raster indexes digital art across ten chains and treats them all the same way. ERC-721, ERC-1155, Tezos FA2, Bitcoin Ordinals and CryptoPunks all come back as the same artist, artwork and token types.

The useful part is the bit you can't get from a node. Raster aggregates artist profiles across chains and across wallets, so one artist stays one artist however many addresses, aliases and platforms they have worked under. Tokens are grouped into the artworks they actually belong to. Media is served as fast, resized renditions instead of a dead IPFS link.
- Digital art displays: Display companies build on Raster, from physical devices with a companion app to browser-based display services.
- Artist chatbots: Artists give an AI assistant access to the digital catalogue raisonné we have assembled for them, so every answer is grounded in on-chain reality.
- Collector websites: One API key gives a collector everything attached to their collection: artists, artworks, media, provenance and more. Building a collector website becomes simple.
There must be a thousand other interesting experiences one can build on top of our database, and we would love to see them. Our API exists to provide a stable foundation for the digital art ecosystem to build incredible experiences on top of. Tell us what you need and we will do our best to support it.
Leave your details and tell us what you would like to build. Our founders will get back to you.
